Welcome to Pippins English Apple Orchard
Pippins Orchard is a small orchard on the outskirts of Chelmsford, tended largely by Malcolm Stone. It has about 1,300 trees on around 3.75 acres. It grows over 40 varieties of apples, pears, quince, cherries, plums and gages, including rare Essex apples such as Chelmsford Wonder. Fruit is sold loose from an honesty hut at the orchard, mainly from mid-July to October, with stored apples available into spring. It is also sold at London farmers' markets.
