Welcome to The Sawmill Cafe & Farm Shop
The Sawmill is a restored historic sawmill on the banks of the River Irt in Nether Wasdale, with a working waterwheel. It was bought in 2016 by the Manduell family, who farm in Wasdale. It houses a cafe and a farm shop with a deli counter, fresh fruit and veg, cakes, ice cream, preserves, local beers, ciders, wines, and Lake District crafts and gifts. The shop favours small local Lake District producers.
