The Buffalo Farm

The Buffalo Farm was founded in 2005 by sixth-generation farmer Steve Mitchell and now keeps over 500 water buffalo, the largest herd in Scotland. It produces buffalo meat, mozzarella and ice cream. The farm shop and butchery at Boglily Steading sells its own buffalo meat, native Scotch beef, local lamb and venison, pies, ready meals, vegetables, preserves, breads and cheeses. The Bothy cafe is on site, and visitors can meet pygmy goats, emus and buffalo.
