About us
Welcome to Ballyriff Buffalo
Ballyriff Buffalo is a family farm in the Sperrin foothills near Magherafelt, run by Mickey O'Brien and his son Barry. It was Northern Ireland's first water buffalo herd: four animals were imported from Italy in 2011, and the herd has since grown to roughly 60 to 90. The farm shop sells meat from its own Asian water buffalo.
